I was introduced to the hands-on nature of serigraphy in 1988 as part of an Intro to Printmaking class. I fell in love with the craft. The inherent limitations add to the creative process. At each step along the way, a puzzle is presented that impacts the art. Variables such as print order, paper stock, ink color, and opacity contribute to the design. Separations are created, screens prepped, ink mixed, and each color hand-printed.

The final edition is determined through inspection of each print, followed by signing and numbering. Ultimately, there’s immense satisfaction in witnessing the tangible results of every decision come to life.

I appreciate the passionate niche of designers and collectors who value the intricacies of this art form and its pop culture history. Bands and festivals continue to embrace limited-edition posters as a means of connecting with fans and commemorating events.
